Asking for money upfront is usually a sign that the job is a scam. An established company will not ask you to pay for a work-at-home position, unless of course, you need to invest in materials or a startup kit for a direct sales business.

Use Google to your advantage and be sure to check up and dig about for information, reviews, testimonials and scams, when considering joining up with an online company.

There are so many scams online and unfortunately some still “fall” for them. Not their fault, scammers are very good at what they do… It’s sad though when there are good options out there. But how do you weed out the good from the bad? Your great list helps with that.

Thanks for these great tips to avoid work at home scams. I found it quite hard to spot them at first, but now it is so easy if you just follow these guidelines.
They all have a similar feel to them and your first point is the most important. There is no such thing as a surefire way to become rich overnight on autopilot without doing any work!

I have been led down blind allies a lot in the past, in my search for a mentor or way to move forward online. I was left disillusioned and even more lost than when I first began!
There are so many underhanded and unethical people out there who are very good at making people believe them, it’s easy to get caught up in their lies.
